Assistant Sales Manager

OVERALL OBJECTIVES OF THE ROLE
The functions of Assistant Manager, Sales (Channel Partnership) are as follows; a) generate revenue by bringing in new customers and by cultivating existing relationships coming from referral partners, b) manage referral partnerships whether banks or non-banks including POS vendors, web developers, mobile apps developers, SI vendors, -c) assist in closing and or close new partnership deals directly or with Senior Manager, Sales of Third Party Partners.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Sign and manage new and existing referral partners and maintain an active pipeline of partners

Provide regularly updates and training to third party partners to ensure partners maintain the agreed upon number of referrals

Deliver the assigned business targets by identifying customers and markets with sound revenue potentials, by managing the performance and development of sales executives that may be assigned under him/her and by encouraging referral partners to continuously refer names for sign up

Conduct effective negotiations and close deals with customers – merchants and referral partners – and to ensure that all direct reports are also able to negotiate and close deals effectively

Manage, build and develop customers – merchants and partners relationships and partnership

Ensure all account opening documentary requirements and processes of merchants and referral partners comply with business requirements

Coordinate with other functions to ensure operational efficiency and the proper delivery of services by vendors/security team to partners and customers e.g., POS terminal installation, card acceptance training & fraud prevention

Effectively forecast potential sales & revenue from new and existing markets and to identify the required marketing activities to achieve the sales & revenue forecast

Collaborate with management on new product development, sales support activities and new revenue opportunities

Participate in any necessary sales meetings and training activities, both internally and externally

Develop knowledge of competitors’ activities, industry standards, market trends, technology, systems, and other relevant information

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Graduate from Business, Management or Engineering discipline

Minimum 3 years sales experience in the financial services industry with proven results

Channel sales management or partner management is a plus

Sales experience in credit card business is a plus

Entrepreneurial character, capable of developing & executing an effective sales strategy in getting new accounts and at the same time managing partners \

Able to plan, organize and make effective sales presentations to all types of audience

Excellent organization, communication, negotiation and problem solving skills when dealing with external customers – merchants and partners. Can close deals

Self-motivated & adaptable to changing conditions in the work place

Mature and independent, able to work well with minimal supervision

Demonstrated ability to establish workload priorities

High achiever - able to deliver targets as required by the business

Good English and Chinese communication skills
