**Assistant Shearperson - $20 - $24/hr**
**Location:** South Minneapolis, MN
**Duration:** Will be converted to full-time employee once training is completed
2nd shift: 3:30PM – 12:00AM, M-F with training for 3-4 months on 1st shift (7:00AM - 3:30PM)
**Pay Rate: $20 - $24+/hr**
**Position Summary:**
The successful candidate will be a hardworking, mechanically inclined, detail oriented, team player who is coachable and can demonstrate great attendance.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Accurately receive, inspect, identify, and store materials per procedures.
+ Ensure traceability of materials and chemical/physical analysis.
+ Efficiently process multiple jobs and prioritize shop orders appropriately.
+ Ability to follow work instructions, quality, and ISO/AS9100D Standards.
+ Interpret drawings and accurately use handheld measuring tools.
+ Other duties as assigned.
**Requirements:**
+ Ability to interpret drawings, follow routers, use shop math, and use handheld measuring tools (micrometers, calipers).
+ Ability to use shop math and understand tolerances such as +/- .005.
+ Ability to lift 50 pounds.
+ Proficiency with basic computer skills.
+ Obtain and maintain required forklift and other related equipment certifications as required.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Experience working in a shipping/receiving or warehouse environment.
**Education:**
+ High School/GED or equivalent
