Through coordination with the Project Manager/Site Manager, direct activities and coordinate the day- to-day quality control system and procedures for the company, from project start up to completion.

WHAT WE EXPECT (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

Manage daily activities of the quality control program.Attend project pre-construction meetings to discuss the QMS Program and review Lessons Learned in the presence of subcontractors andTrain team members in the use of the quality control program and support question resolution pertaining to the programPerform administrative set up of projects within the quality program database, assist in the support and maintenance of database program and assist in the implementation and audits the effectiveness of the qualityEnsure the quality program provides a fair and effective monitoring of the overall quality of the organization on a regular and timelyConduct jobsite inspections/audits to ensure that quality controls are in place and report findings to the Project Team Perform quality control inspections of installations as they are being put in place to ensure strict compliance and coordination with the contractInspect products, materials, and equipment as they arrive at the jobsite to ensure compliance with the contract documents and approvedEnsure manufacturer, fabricator and installer qualifications are current and applicable based on the contractCoordinate required sampling of work in a timely manner with sufficient time for testing and analyzing results to prevent delayingCoordinate and maintain jobsite test and inspection plan and subsequent logs ensuring all documentation is current including any changes to the work or designCreate and maintain an approved Project Specific Quality Control

Normal office environment where noise level is moderate, and temperature/humidity is controlled. Overtime may be required.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position will indirectly manage subcontractors and has authority of overall quality on projects.

 

 

 

 

WHO WE WANT (REQUIREMENTS)

Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school AND a minimum of three years of construction experience OR a minimum five years related construction experience with increasing responsibility in lieu of a degree.Experience within the light/heavy industrial sector highly desired.Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, and problem solving skills.The selected candidate will have excellent communication and organization skills and will be required to travel up to 100% of the time.

 

 

This position requires travel as our projects are scattered throughout the United States and, in some cases outside of the U.S..  The selected candidate can live anywhere in the USA, but would be required to travel to the project site per Gray’s travel policy.
