Assistant Store Manager

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide an approachable and efficient sales and service focus on the floor to achieve sales goals and deliver exceptional serviceConnect with in-store clients and develop / retain a following of repeat clients to drive salesAssist in developing and implementing strategies to drive sales and key performance indicatorsAssist in recruiting and training a team of support managers and client experience focused associatesTrain and coach team to meet and / or adhere to client service standards and company policies and proceduresCreate and manage in-store events, marketing initiatives and CRM activity to drive and reward repeat businessImplement product and visual merchandising directives and techniques to maximize space and drive salesManage inventory control procedures including product receipt, transfers and returnsManage and maintain store cleanliness and organization, including front of house and stock spaceFoster a work environment focused on teamwork and productivity

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

Proficient in Microsoft ApplicationsProficient in point-of-sale (POS) systemsProficient in back-office operations managementProficient in visual merchandisingAbility to recruit, train, manage and develop a teamAbility to work effectively and collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholdersAbility to make decisions independently, or escalate when applicableAbility to work non-traditional hours; weekends, evenings and holidaysStrong written and verbal communication skills

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field preferredMinimum 3 years’ experience in a client service-related capacityMinimum 2 years’ experience in retail store management

Work is performed in a retail environment / storeWalk, sit, stand, bend, reach and move continually during working hours
