 Job Summary

The Assistant Stormwater Program Manager will support small, medium and large municipal stormwater management program implementation and regulatory compliance with NPDES industrial, stormwater and construction permit requirements. This role also includes working with state agencies to support compliance with their permit requirements..

Responsibilities and Duties

The Assistant Stormwater Program Manager has:

Stormwater management program development experience including stormwater management plan development, best management practice (BMP) identification, implementation, BMP effectiveness evaluations and development of measurable goals.Client engagement and presentation experience should include demonstrated client interaction and presentations for clients, conferences or public.Technical writing experience associated with development of municipal or DOT guidance and design documents of manuals.Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) for construction to include demonstrated SWPPP design and inspection.Research experience a plus – Provide research information on projects that you served as a principal investigator or co-principal investigator and list project titles

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or Natural resource sciences.10+ years’ experience in municipal and Department of Transportation (DOT) stormwater management and NPDES compliance.

Preferred qualifications:

Watershed ManagementStormwater Management planning, reporting, evaluations and program compliance risk assessmentExperience conducting water quality/stormwater-oriented research if applicableKnowledge of Spill Prevention and Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) rules/regulationsCertified Floodplain Manager (CFM) with cursory knowledge of FEMA rules/requirementsManual and report development and technical writingTeam oriented and enjoys the challenge of problem solving
