POSITION DEFINITION:Manage the day to day operation of a Distribution and Wastewater Collection Systems. Through the use of key metrics ensure that the company equipment and personnel are being managed efficiently and effectively. Supervision of Wastewater and Water Service personnel, Maintenance Technicians, Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators, or other support personnel as needed. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:• Manage all wastewater/water operations and personnel within the Installation to ensure the proper execution of wastewater/water service to the customer on a continuous basis, which meets all applicable local, state and federal standards.• Possess a thorough knowledge of regulations pertaining to water and wastewater operations and ensure that the system is compliant with all regulations.• Maintain a thorough knowledge on the state of the art in water and wastewater operation and maintenance and bring this knowledge to the company.• Ideal candidate will possess knowledge of leak detection, valve and hydrant maintenance/exercise, collection system cleaning, pumps and motors, electrical troubleshooting, SCADA and controls, and open channel and full pipe hydraulics.• Maintain customer service at a level that exceeds the Customers expectations.• Responsible for the management of employee relations in a manner, which ensures that company goals and objectives are met.• Responsible for the implementation of and compliance with the Company’s safety program.• Responsible for maintaining a positive relationship with all governmental entities within the jurisdictions of the Installation.• Responsible for fostering Employee Development and ensuring adequate training is provided to achieve appropriate skill levels and proficiency for conducting all operational tasks.• Performs other duties as assigned.• Performs employee evaluations MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in an environmental or technical discipline and 5 years of progressive water industry experience or ten or more years of progressive water industry experience, of which at least four years includes significant, advanced experience in wastewater, and distribution activities.• Three years prior water supply and distribution leadership experience preferred.• Mechanical aptitude is required.• Must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License issued by the state where employed May include but not limited to standing, climbing, walking, lifting, bending, pulling and/or pushing, grasping, reaching, stooping and crouching, sitting, typing, walking, reading, writing, color determination, speaking and listening for extended periods of time. COMPENSATION INFORMATION The compensation range provided is in compliance with state specific laws. Multiple factors are used to determine the actual starting rate of pay for all of our positions, including specific skills, years of experience, education, certification(s), and other job related factors.
