Assistant SuperintendentHistoric Preservation, Full Remodeling at the Canon House in Washington, D.C., On-site and Overnight with a company that uses innovative cutting edge technology, grows 20% year after year, and have the opportunity to have ownership in the company. Job Duties/Responsibilities: + Oversee sub-contractors. + The ability to plan work activities along with the ability to recognize safety concerns while promoting a quality and safety culture amongst our team, partners, and trade contractors. + Assist with subcontractor scheduling and coordination, quality control, project and look-ahead schedule review, and administration of the RFI process. + Supervise and lead in safety measures in all areas for all trades and perform audit checklist. + Maintain the knowledge of miscellaneous materials that are required to sustain safety efforts and materials for self-powered work, and coordinate the procurement of these items through the field office staff. + Accurately produce and distribute daily reports. + Maintain awareness of shop drawing information and oversee correct installations based on the contract documents and shop drawings/submittals. + Assist in the implementation and ongoing execution of the quality assurance program. + Participate in job site subcontractor and Owner/Architect/Contractor meetings to keep abreast of schedule and potential changes to the work. Skills/Qualifications: + Must be able to get an AOC badge + 3+ years of experience + Large project experience + Ability to plan work activities + Recognize safety concerns + Promote quality and safety culture + Leadership in safety measures + Detail-oriented + Continual improvement in Construction Management + Dispute resolution + Communication skills + Ability to schedule work activities Work Environment: This is a fully on-site position in Washington, District of Columbia. The majority of work will be completed outside at the construction site and in an office trailer, where they will monitor the project to make daily decisions about construction activities. This individual will often be exposed to sounds and loud noises and will be required to wear PE when on site. Work Schedule: This individual will be on-site OVERNIGHT for 4 10-hour days Monday - Thursday. Working hours are 4 pm - 6 am.
