The primary responsibility of this position is to assist with the coordination of field operations driving projects to successful completion through a safe work environment, quality construction, effective scheduling, cost management, collaboration with project stakeholders, and superior customer service. The ideal candidate will also possess a desire for growth, long-term thinking, and relationship building skills. You’ll communicate regularly with your Construction Project Manager and will utilize Procore software for project management.
As a full-time Commercial Assistant Superintendent, your responsibilities will include:Primary ResponsibilitiesAssist the Superintendent in planning and coordinating construction projects.Monitor project progress and adjust work schedules as needed to ensure that deadlines are met.Assist with the preparation of project budgets and track expenses.Supervise construction crew to ensure that work is being completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of quality.Coordinate inspections with utility companies, trade partners, owners, and all government agencies.Work at the job site to ensure it is performed in accordance with plans, specifications, codes and regulationsPosition RequirementsHigh School Diploma or equivalent requiredBachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred2-3 years of experience in development, building trades, construction, and/or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experienceSkilled problem solvers with a knack for working with people to achieve success.Ability to work short-term projects of nine to eleven months, involving 85% travelBenefits and PerksPer diem to cover food and lodging while traveling Vehicle reimbursement program is availablePaid Time OffPaid HolidaysMedical / Dental / Vision Coverage including High Deductible Health Plan401k with a Company MatchShort-Term / Long-Term DisabilityPaid Maternity / Paternity LeaveWe develop and inspire our Assistant Superintendents through training and coaching on the job.
