Assistant Superintendent
Job Title: Assistant SuperintendentJob Description We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Superintendent to oversee Commercial, Multifamily, and Aviation projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the project are executed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with the established timelines and budgets. This role requires candidates to be open to travel the West Coast of FL, strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of construction processes, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders. Responsibilities + Assist in planning and implementing project schedules to ensure deadlines are met. This includes coordinating with various teams and adjusting plans as needed. + Oversee construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring they follow safety protocols and project procedures. This involves regular site visits and inspections. + Conduct inspections to ensure that work meets contract specifications, building codes, and quality standards. Address any issues that arise to maintain high standards. + Help resolve any problems or conflicts that occur during the construction process. This can involve troubleshooting, negotiating with subcontractors, and finding solutions to keep the project on track. + Maintain accurate records of project progress, including daily logs, reports, and documentation of any changes or issues. This helps in tracking the project's status and ensuring transparency. + Ensure that all safety regulations and protocols are followed on the construction site. This includes conducting safety meetings and training sessions for workers. Essential Skills + 3+ years previous experience in construction management or a related field. + Understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations. + Ability to lead and motivate a team, manage conflicts, and make decisions under pressure. + Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with various stakeholders, including workers, subcontractors, and clients. + Ability to identify issues and develop effective solutions quickly. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with Procore software. + Experience in ground-up construction, commercial construction, and subcontractor management. Work Environment Work on the West Coast of FL. The company pays for employees' parking and holds various events such as holiday parties, cookouts, picnics, etc. Benefits include medical insurance, coverage for families, dental and vision insurance, life insurance, long-term disability, 401k, ESOP-equity/profit share, PTO of 16 days, and 8 company-paid holidays. Lodging and daily food allowance of $50 are provided, along with a truck allowance of $350-500/month and a gas card. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $85000.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
