Job Description
We are looking for an Assistant Superintendent to join our team for three main projects. The site locations include Salina, KS, Bowling Green, NE, and West Minister, NC. These projects involve upgrading locker rooms, field houses, and constructing concessions/restrooms with a duration of approximately six months each.
ResponsibilitiesAssist with providing coordination and supervision of design-build and bid-build projects on sports complex facilities.Collaborate with clients, design team, and contractors to ensure project success.Build and maintain a jobsite culture of 'Safety First'.Assist with Quality Control and Quality Assurance processes.Coordinate and manage subcontractors and jobsite logistics daily.Collect, review, and submit shop drawings, product data, and test reports.Build and update construction schedules and 'look ahead' schedules.Review estimates with the operations team to ensure logistical and site considerations are included.Complete daily and weekly reports and maintain a photo journal of progress.Essential SkillsProficiency in ProCore and Bluebeam.OSHA 30 certification.Construction management experience.Subcontractor management skills.Construction supervision skills.Strong focus on safety.Experience in hospitality and commercial construction.Schedule management skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsAt least 5 years of experience as an assistant superintendent on ground-up vertical projects as a prime contractor or general contractor.Experience in hospitality, K-12, or commercial projects.Understanding of civil scope on construction projects, including streets, parking, retaining walls, and utilities.Experience running projects from start to finish.Experience in sports construction is highly preferred.A degree in Construction Management (CM) or a similar field is highly preferred.Strong communication skills with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.Work Environment
The role involves traveling to various project sites, with mileage reimbursement for mobilization and demobilization. A per diem of $30/day for meals is provided, along with housing accommodations at hotels or a camper per diem up to $500/week. A company truck can be provided, or a truck allowance between $100-$200/week. The work schedule will depend on the project timeline, and there are no set home rotations.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $33.00/hr.
