DESCRIPTION
Montclair State University invites applications for 2 Assistant Teaching Professors to teach the required undergraduate core business communication course in the Feliciano School of Business (course details can be found at http://catalog.montclair.edu/coursesaz/bcom/). This course emphasizes practical and applied communication skills for students pursuing business careers, focusing on written and oral communication skills. Successful candidates will have a proven record of providing engaging instruction, actionable feedback, and real-world applications to enhance students' professional writing and presentation skills.
This position is a full-time, two-year, ten-month, non-tenure track appointment, with eligibility for reappointment based on established NTTP Procedures. QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must hold a Ph.D. (or be ABD) in communications, business communications, related discipline OR have completed a Master’s degree in one of these disciplines and earned extensive industry experience. Candidates must have at least 3 years of experience teaching business communications or business writing or similar course at the undergraduate level and demonstrated excellence in teaching evidenced by peer and student evaluations. Relevant industry experience is highly valued. Preference will be given to candidates with experience teaching in a variety of modalities including on-line, hybrid formats and in-person. Qualified candidates will have a proven record of providing targeted, practical feedback to enhance professional writing and speaking.
The ideal candidate will have proficiency in audience-focused communication, with a strong understanding of tone, style, and conciseness in business writing, the ability to critique and coach public speaking skills, focusing on clarity, engagement, and professional delivery, and a commitment to student success and a collaborative teaching environment.

SALARY RANGE: Commensurate with experience
