Based on the semester-to-semester need of the department, as determined by the supervisor, candidates may be asked to teach online, if applicable. This position is exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) overtime provisions.
**Salary/Pay Range** : $50,000. Compensation will be commensurate upon experience and qualifications.

**Summary**
The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs invites applications for a non-tenure track full-time instructor (1.0 FTE - benefits eligible) position starting in January 2025. Duties may include introductory chemistry lecture and lab courses, with other courses possible. The normal workload for this position is 95% teaching and 5% service with potential for modification to reflect duties.
**Essential Functions:**
The duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
+ Teaching entry-level courses such as CHEM 1201, CHEM 1211, and CHEM 1221 for Nursing Prep and Health Care Science majors.
+ Grading
+ Student mentorship
+ Teaching other courses as assigned
**Tentative Search Timeline**

**Qualifications**
+ Master's in Chemistry or a closely-related field is required.
