We seek to hire a faculty member who is committed to teacher education focused on the preparation of teachers who will work with all students, including bilingual learners and students with disabilities. Our new hire will demonstrate evidence of strong U.S.-based PK-12 teaching with emergent bilingual students, as well as experience teaching university undergraduate or graduate elementary teacher education courses. In EBB, we are devoted to the critical examination of theory, practice, and policy. For more information about the School of Education, please visit: https://www.colorado.edu/education/ **What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be** + This faculty member will be expected to teach in and contribute to the continued development of our BA in Elementary Education program, which prepares teachers for elementary licensure. + They will additionally contribute to EBB's Master of Arts programs. Coursework in the BA and MA programs includes courses focused on language acquisition, foundations of bilingual education, assessment of bilingual learners, methods of bi-literacy and language development, as well as field-based seminars and field support during practicum experiences and student teaching. + This new member of our community will engage in activities surrounding the mission of the School of Education including participation, outreach and leadership in local, school, campus, and larger communities. **What You Should Know** + This is a 3-year appointment, renewable upon successful reappointment. + This role is located in Boulder, CO. + A typical teaching and service load for this role is 80% teaching and 20% service. Teaching faculty are expected to teach seven courses per academic year, and all courses are typically taught in person on campus. **What We Can Offer** The salary range for this nine-month faculty role is $65,000 - $75,000.
