JOB SUMMARY:
The College of Nursing and Public Health at Adelphi University invites qualified candidates to apply for the Assistant Teaching Professor position in Nursing Specialties with preferred expertise in Psych/Mental Health, Pediatrics, Obstetrics, and Gerontology. This position will begin in August 2025.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. The primary obligations shall be in teaching across the undergraduate nursing specialties courses: psych/mental health, pediatrics, obstetrics, gerontology, and evidence-based practice. A total of 24 credits/ year is required.
2. Actively participate in College of Nursing and Public Health and University committees.
3. Student advisement.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. A Master's degree in nursing is required. Doctorate in Nursing preferred (PhD or EdD or DNS or DNP).
2. Licensure as a Psych/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner strongly preferred and National board certification required.
3. A NYS RN license or eligible for licensure in New York State.
4. Relevant clinical nursing experience preferred.
5. Experience in simulation technology, online or blended learning, and education. Additional experience is preferred in curriculum development and implementation across all areas.

SALARY INFORMATION:
In compliance with New York’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $90,000 - $94,000. Adelphi University considers factors such as departmental budgets, scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. An annual base salary higher than the range may be warranted in circumstances where a candidate has demonstrable equivalent prior higher education experience at another University.
