DESCRIPTION

Bloomfield College of Montclair State University seeks an innovative and experienced educator to join our Computer and Mathematical Sciences Program Area as a non-tenure Assistant Teaching Professor of Mathematics. The successful candidate will teach 24 credits of 100 to 300 level Mathematics classes.  The successful candidate will transition into the First Year Math Coordinator in Spring 2026 which comes with a course release each semester.  This is primarily a teaching/service position with no requirement of research. QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED:

Ph.D. or Ed.D. in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, Statistics, or a closely related field (degree must be completed by the start date); or Ph.D. or Ed.D. in Education with a Masters in Mathematics or a related field.

A strong commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment for students from diverse backgrounds, including first-generation college students and students from underrepresented communities.

Experience and demonstrated success in teaching and mentoring students from diverse and historically underserved populations.

Experience or interest in program/course development or coordination.
