Assistant Terminal Manager Job Details Job Location Intermodal Terminal Services - Minneapolis - Minneapolis, MN Description ASSISTANT TERMINAL MANAGER WANTED Job Summary: This position is responsible for safe and efficient management of terminal operations. Benefits of Joining PTI: + Medical, dental, vision, and multiple supplemental benefit plan options available + Paid vacation time + 401(K) retirement options + On the job training + Discounted cell phone plans for Verizon and AT&T + Room for growth and advancement within the company Responsibilities: + Partner with Terminal Manager to ensure KPIs are met, Train Performance, Lifts per Hour & Cost per Hour, etc. + Develop and drive existing staff to enhance Engagement & Retention + Build collaborative partnerships between PTI and local railroad officers + Act as key point of contact between PTI and our customers + Enforce and uphold all PTI rules, regulations, and policies + Approach violations with care and administer disciplinary actions when required + Monitor and approve terminal purchases for payment & manage purchases within budget + Approve weekly time & attendance and ensures data is accurate + Ensure the terminal is fully staffed + Responsible for the training and orientation process of all employees + Provides terminal metrics & reports as needed + Other duties as assigned (administrative & non-administrative) This does not necessarily list all responsibilities, duties, requirements, or efforts associated with the job. Qualifications Our ideal candidate must: + Have exceptional organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills + Have excellent communication skills + Be proficient in Outlook and MS Office suite of products + Have the ability to lift 50lbs regularly and stand for long periods of time + Be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. + Have open availability r equired; all Shifts, Holidays & Weekends, schedule changes based on demand. + Willingness to complete a criminal background, drug screen and physical. + Possess and continuously maintain a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
