Assistant Treasurer

Position Purpose:

The AT guides overall direction, coordination, and operation of all Corporate Treasury functions for the global enterprise.  These responsibilities include developing a strategic vision for the corporate treasury department, leading execution of capital markets transactions (i.e., bond & CP issuance, share repurchases, derivatives/hedges), and managing daily cash operations, investment allocation, and financial risk exposures. The AT manages relationships with external banking partners, rating agencies, and bondholders.  The AT also manages relationships with internal partners.  This includes evaluating financing strategies and banking considerations for potential mergers and acquisitions with the Strategic Business Development team, forecasting cash and liquidity needs with the Financial Planning and Analysis team, evaluating treasury and tax strategies with the Tax team, and other internal projects and priorities. 

Key Responsibilities:

25% Formulating capital structure strategy and managing debt/credit portfoliosManaging all aspects of accessing capital markets as an investor, borrower, and/or equity issuerManaging financial forecasting processes and global cash management25% Designing and implementing hedging strategies for FX, interest rates, and commodity exposuresManaging daily cash management activities, controls, and projectsManaging transactional banking issues, relationships, and projects25% Providing analysis of financial instruments, transactions, strategies, and/or companiesProviding investment management and general economic consulting to internal business partners25% Managing all banking and rating agency relationshipsPreparing regular and ad hoc reporting to the Board of DirectorsG&A oversight for the Treasury department


Direct Manager/Direct Reports:

This position reports to TreasurerThis position has 3 Direct Reports


Travel Requirements:

Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.


Physical Requirements:

Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.


Working Conditions:

Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.


Minimum Qualifications:

Must be eighteen years of age or older.Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.


Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum Education:

The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a master's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
