ResponsibilitiesCarolina Casualty is seeking a detail-oriented, quick-learner with an interest in pursuing a long-term career with a constantly-evolving top competitor in the Commercial Transportation Insurance industry.
Collect and analyze data to rate new and renewal businessEfficiently navigate in rating and issuance systems, including timely and accurate issuance of policies and policy amendmentsAdhere to all Carolina Casualty, Underwriting, State, and Federal rules and regulationsExamine documents including declarations, applications, signed forms, Motor Vehicle Reports, and other policy documents for accuracy and completenessInterpret underwriting manuals/guidelines, rating manuals, forms, and workflows and provide improvement recommendations as appropriateMaintain knowledge of technical underwriting process and/or research information if needed; participate in ongoing training as appropriateCollaborate with peers, Underwriters, and other departments to promptly and proactively address business challenges and/or opportunitiesPerform other duties and/or projects as assignedProvide first level contact for external customer service inquiries Qualifications Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management preferredInsurance Designation (AINS, AU, etc…) preferred1 - 3 years of Insurance and/or Commercial Auto (Trucking and Public Transportation) Insurance Underwriting experience preferred2+ years of Data Entry/Data ProcessingCapable of working with internal and external teams and partnersSuperior customer experience skillsPositive attitude and professional demeanorStrong computer skills, including Excel and Outlook Additional Company Details We do not accept any unsolicited resumes from external recruiting agencies or firms.The company offers a competitive compensation plan and robust benefits package for full time regular employees.
