WSP is currently initiating a search for a **Assistant Vice President, Category Management & Strategic Sourcing** for our **New York, New York** (One Penn) office. Be involved in projects with our Procurement Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.
Your Impact
+ Partners with client departments to better understand their business environment and roadmaps.
+ Execution of assigned sourcing initiatives (RFX, contract negotiations, optimization) identified in the 3-year strategic sourcing roadmap - Commodities Assigned: Direct spend (Architecture and Engineering Services, Construction, Professional Services) Indirect spend (Network, Telecom).
+ Identifies opportunities for optimizing existing vendor relationships to reduce the Total Cost of Ownership for the organization.
+ Leads the end-to-end strategic sourcing process, from requirements definition and gathering, to market analysis and RFX design, to analysis of supplier proposals, to articulation of final solution and supplier recommendation and negotiation of key business contract terms.
+ Assists in contract consolidation and transition as part of the integration process of companies acquired by WSP.
+ Provides substantive advice and support in setting, measuring, and reporting key metrics for the Procurement department.
+ Captures and reports savings from strategic sourcing initiatives and other expense management activities.
+ Supports important initiatives, such as policy design and implementation, technology deployment, process reengineering, etc.
+ Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.Performs additional duties, as applicable.
Who You Are
**Required Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree in Finance, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field is required.
+ 10+ years of strategic sourcing experience and knowledge of a variety of highly technical spend areas, such as engineering, consulting, professional services, real estate and technology.
+ Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
+ Proficiency in commercial terms.
+ Enterprise view of end-to-end procurement processes and ability to identify and address inefficiencies.
+ Ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external parties at any level of the organizational hierarchy.
+ Exceptional analytical skills, including ability to create hypotheses based on complex vendor and spend data sets.
+ Understanding of P2P technology platforms, especially Oracle SaaS.
+ Highly adept at supporting change and transformation initiatives.
+ Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.

Compensation:
Expected Salary (all locations): $104,200 - $185,680
WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
