Job Overview:

As a Disaster Recovery Manager, you will play a crucial role in developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive disaster recovery plans to ensure the organization's ability to respond effectively to unforeseen events. Your responsibilities will encompass risk assessment, crisis management, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to minimize downtime and data loss.

Job Responsibilities:

Incident handling, problem troubleshooting and escalation to Higher ManagementOrganize and co-ordinate Disaster Recovery Activities/DrillMaintain accurate records, document all problems, and prepare relevant reports.Maintain accurate IT Asset inventory/records and prepare reports.Ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Disaster Recovery Planning:

Develop and maintain robust disaster recovery plans, ensuring alignment with industry standards and compliance requirements.Conduct regular review to identify potential vulnerabilities and implement proactive measures to mitigate risks.

DR validation:

Work closely with cross-functional teams across the region to create, implement, and regularly test disaster recovery plans and exercise.Conduct exercise briefing to teams to enhance awareness, understanding roles and responsibilities and response capabilities.Ensure DR validation are conducted timely in compliant with regulatory requirement.

Crisis Management:

Drive the response and recovery efforts during actual incidents to meet the committed RTO.Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to manage resources effectively and resolve issues promptly.

IT Resilience:

Review changes to ensure new implementation meets the IT resilience requirement.Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance IT resilience strategies.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain clear documentation of disaster recovery plans, risk assessments and response procedures.Provide regular reports to management on the status of disaster recovery preparedness and ongoing risk assessments.Ensure documentation are review regularly to ensure relevant.
 

Job Requirements:

Min 5 years of experience in managing disaster recovery plans and recoveryExperience managing Data Centre Operations in the financial services industry.Experience in IT systems (Network, databases, cloud, virtual machines, storage) to be able to engage stakeholders during system resiliency review.Bachelor degree or in Mechanical / Electronic or Industrial Engineering or related disciplinesProject management skills to coordinate Disaster Recovery exerciseExperience in risk assessment to manage risk and identify potential vulnerabilitiesAbility to lead and manage cross functional stakeholders to manage recovery efforts and exerciseGood understanding of various backup and recovery strategies within the Data Centre environmentITIL and other Business continuity certifications will be an added advantageStrong leadership and analytical skills. Ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workloadConversant with Technology Risk Management Guidelines for Singapore and other geographiesExcellent written and verbal communication skill to prepare reports, documentation and communication with stakeholders
