Responsibilities:

Providing legal advice and opinions to various departments of the Bank.Ensure that transactions entered into are in full compliance with all laws and regulations.To review, negotiate, revise and draft any relevant bank documentation from time to time as may be required to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures, and applicable laws and regulations.Responsible to liaise with relevant internal department key stakeholders to ensure all legal process are properly implemented including responding to inquiries on related legal process requirements.Responsible to evaluate/amend existing compliance rules, policies, guide as required by local management, regional and Parent Bank's directives.Reviewing and drafting legal documentation for creation of any new products that the Bank may embark upon.Communicating and liaising with Bank's panel of legal counsel.Any other ad-hoc task assigned by the Director of Legal department.

Requirements:

Candidates should ideally have minimum 3-5 years of relevant work experience, preferably within a legal practice. In-house legal counsel experience is not required.Minimum 4 years of Post-Qualification Experience ("PQE").Applicant must have a recognized Degree in Laws or its equivalent from a recognized university/higher learning institution.Able to effectively communicate in English and Bahasa Malaysia with all levels of internal stakeholders and external regulators/government departments & agencies.                                                                                       Preferably applicant that have been called to the Bar.
