Compensation includes a base salary of $171,800.00 - $286,400.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Job Description

Job Summary

The AVP, Operations and Risk Management will lead NextGear Capital’s Client Experience, Records, Titles, Title Shared Service Teams, which includes Cox Automotive Title Shared Service Center and Collections.  The AVP, Operations and Risk Management will be responsible for all aspects of these organizations including achieving NextGear Capital’s performance targets, Team Member development, and organizational strategic vision.  The AVP, Operations and Risk Management, must have the ability to set the strategy, lead, and influence the organization with integrity and respect, fostering a client centric environment.  This position will serve as the strategic leader for defining the Financial Solutions Client Experience strategy and ensure the strategy is communicated and upheld throughout the Financial Solutions organization. 

The AVP, Operations and Risk Management goals will focus on our Client needs and demands, our Client net promoter score, and NextGear Capital’s efficiencies to achieve our expected targets.  The AVP, Operations and Risk Management should have the ability to act in a cross-company capacity with other Cox Automotive entities and handle additional responsibilities for the business while adding additional value to the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee the Flooring Department with a focus on ensuring accuracy in flooring requirements and exceeding performance metrics.Manage the Risk and Recovery department with pre-default risk mitigation and post default collection efforts on defaulted accounts. Develops and drives the organizational strategy by identifying and researching records and title management advancement opportunities to ensure the most effective and efficient processes are being utilized.  In addition, the leader will contribute information, analysis, and recommendations to the organization with strategic rationale and direction, establishing objectives in line with organizational objectives.Determine appropriate quality metrics and ensure they are achieved.Partners with external dealers, auctions and third-party companies to drive key performance metrics.Partners with Cox Automotive entities to align the Client Experience team business processes as well as creating and maintaining a cross-collaborative effort among the Cox Automotive business entities.Leads special projects as required to increase effectiveness of organizations, by identifying and clarifying issues and priorities; communicating and coordinating requirements; expediting fulfillment; evaluating milestone accomplishments; evaluating optional courses of action; changing assumptions and direction.Partners with Technology development teams to identify and ensure the software and hardware needs of the departments and of the third-party contractor are achieved.Responsible for budgeting and financials for departments.Hire, train, develop and retain the departments’ leadership team staff to adhere to and accomplish the departments and company’s policies, objectives and goals.Develop the Departmental leadership staff so that they can effectively manage their operational areas to accomplish the Department’s goals.Implement a solid order of operations/operational plan for the Department.Ensure there is an appropriate structure and time frame laid out for each task and that those time frames are being met.Determine what incoming call service levels are, communicate and make sure they are met.Handle all aspects of title status management and inbox management.Maintain acceptable customer satisfaction standards.Strong leadership skills to build and lead leaders and teams that can accomplish simple and complex tasks within strict deadlines.Anticipates and responds to changing business needs, influencing lasting change across the business by serving as a change advocate on companywide strategies and initiatives.Build credibility with all leaders by demonstrating an understanding of the business strategy and challenges, aligning short and long-term people’s goals with the strategy, and leading/driving initiatives to assist the business in achieving success.Anticipate and respond to changing business needs.Lead smooth organizational transitions using best practice change management methodologies.Influence lasting change in assigned businesses by serving as a change advocate on companywide strategies and initiatives.Develop and drive the employee engagement strategy to help make Cox the very best place to workReports to the President of NextGear Capital as a member of the Senior Leadership Team.Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 14 years’ experience in a related field are required. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as an MS degree and 12 years’ experience, a Ph.D. and 9 years’ experience, or 18 years’ experience in lieu of a degree.7+ years’ experience in a management or leadership role.Experience in Production and Service Environments required.Automobile field experience required.Experience managing range of concurrent large scope projects; strong planning, organizing, and execution skills.A track record of success in managing programs/processes to develop capabilities across staff.Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with all levels of management, team members and the public.Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to train and evaluate various levels of team members.Negotiations skills to deal with public and vendors.Strong working knowledge of the automotive business.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.Collaborate with state agencies, automotive auction houses and related industries to ensure smooth running, profitable departments when applicable.Experience working with, coaching and influencing senior leaders to drive significant change.Success leading, coaching and developing people in a high performing team environment.Experience in successfully leading significant change and business transformation.Unquestioned integrity with assertiveness, presence, and confidence. Excellent influencing skills at all levels in the organization and competence in making timely, effective, principles-based decisions.Demonstrated advanced client focus, judgment, analytical skills, critical thinking and communication skills (verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal) required.Strong business and financial acumen, including strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and business analysis skills.Must be a team player with a positive “Whatever it Takes” attitude. Additional Qualifications

Graduate degree in business or a related field (preferred).Previous experience successfully driving change in an operations setting.Sustained success leading, coaching and developing people in a high performing team environmentAbility to travel 15%.
