Reporting to the Vice President for Advancement, Academic Programs and Partnerships, the Assistant Vice President is responsible for ensuring the management and success of fundraising efforts of an assigned significant and critical portion of Syracuse University's schools, colleges, and academic units. The role plans and executes a comprehensive advancement program that furthers the strategic goals of the University. The AVP provides strategies, goals and management oversight of units to ensure collaboration, partnerships with central units, and alignment with university and divisional initiatives and priorities. The position carries a portfolio of donors to further the development of strategies, plans, opportunities, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of this cohort. The role oversees and directs the Leadership Volunteer Engagement unit and its related work with the University's advisory boards.
