The Delivery Lead – DevOps will drive the DevOps strategy, automation, and operational excellence for a large-scale data engineering program. This role requires a seasoned leader with a strong technology, delivery, and business transformation background to oversee DevOps functions, cloud infrastructure, and pipeline automation at scale..
The ideal candidate should have extensive experience working in data engineering projects on cloud platforms. They will be responsible for client engagement, team leadership, delivery governance, and strategic innovations.
Responsibilities
Lead a global DevOps organization, overseeing CI/CD, cloud automation, security, and reliability across multiple product teams.
Architect and govern cloud-native, containerized, and microservices-based infrastructures on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Partner with C-level executives, product, and engineering leaders to align DevOps initiatives with business objectives.
Drive the adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), GitOps, and site reliability engineering (SRE) best practices.
Establish enterprise-wide observability, security, and compliance standards for data platforms.
Build and manage relationships with vendors, cloud providers, and strategic technology partners.
Lead cost optimization and governance of cloud and DevOps budgets for maximum efficiency.
Oversee incident management, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
Mentor and grow a high-performing global DevOps team..
Qualifications we seek in you
Minimum Qualifications / Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).
experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Platform Engineering, with at least relevant experience in leadership roles.
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
Proven experience leading DevOps transformations in large-scale data engineering or AI/ML programs.
Deep expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and enterprise DevOps architectures.
Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and automation frameworks.
Experience in governing security, compliance, and regulatory frameworks (SOC2, GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).
Strong understanding of SRE, DataOps, MLOps, and FinOps principles.
Ability to drive large-scale organizational change and DevOps cultural adoption..
Preferred Certifications:
Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Google Professional Cloud Architect or Kubernetes CKA/CKS.
Experience with AI/ML and data engineering DevOps practices (Databricks, Snowflake, Airflow, Spark CI/CD).
Exposure to Service Mesh (Istio, Linkerd), API Gateways, and Edge Computing.
