Join us as an Assistant Vice President Sustainable Project Finance at Barclays you will play a crucial role by supporting the provision of innovative financing solutions across the sustainable energy and infrastructure space within the
Americas. The incumbent of the role will be responsible for managing detailed project financial modelling & credit analysis to ultimately deliver successful advice, arranging and/or structuring loans or multilateral financings that are suitable to client activities in different renewable energy and energy transition sectors.
You may be assessed on key critical skills relevant for success in the role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job specific technical skills.
To be successful in this role you should have the following:
Bachelor’s degree in related field of study and two to four years of experience as an Associate across Americas infrastructure & sustainable-related deal execution, preferably at a large financial institution or corporationAdvanced analytical and presentational skills, including ability to initiate and undertake project financial modelling and stress analyses and knowledge of Excel/PowerPointProven appetite to develop sector-specific understanding of appropriate risk management & credit mitigantsAdditionally, the following skills are also relevant and highly preferred.
Familiarity with rating agency methodologies & scorecardsExposure to loan distribution and institutional placement/arrangingPrior debt advisory experience within the infrastructure and energy sectorsSalary / Rate Minimum: 175,000
Salary / Rate Maximum: 225,000

This role is based in New York.
Purpose of the role
To raise capital and manage the financial risk of clients, including financial advisory services, identification and origination of market opportunities, research, economic analysis.
Accountabilities
Development and maintenance of strong relationships with corporate, financial and institutional clients to understand their financing needs and objectives. .Development and maintenance of complex financial models to assess the value of assets, companies, or securities and identify the most appropriate structuring of capital raising initiatives, including equity financing via an initial public offerings, investment grade debt underwriting, leveraged financing solutions for non-investment grade clients, or derivative hedging solutions. .Collaboration with Coverage, M&A, Syndicate, Global Markets, and cross functional teams to ensure successful origination, company due diligence, and execution of various capital market transactions. .Identification, assessment, and management of risks associated with capital markets transactions and development of risk mitigation strategies in alignment with regulatory requirements. .Research, financial data analysis and continued development of market insights and investment recommendations. .Assistant Vice President Expectations
