Required Education:

4 Year Degree St. Bonaventure University, a member of the Atlantic 10 Conference, seeks a full time, 12 month exempt Assistant Women's Lacrosse Coach. This position works primarily with the defense and goalies.

In conjunction with the Head Coach, this position will plan and execute a successful program that includes duties such as: conducting regular team and individual practice sessions; coaching of student athletes, evaluating athletes performance in practice and competition; monitoring the conditioning and training of student athletes, advises and counsels student athletes regarding their obligations to comply with all rules and regulations related to financial aid and eligibility, as well as personal conduct and academics.

Other specific responsibilities include: Arranging and conducting recruiting functions including off- and on-campus visits, evaluations and contacts of prospective student-athletes;

Ensuring that necessary athletic equipment and gear is available and in proper condition for scheduled practices and competition and makes recommendation for repairs or replacement, as necessary;

Working with department’s liaison to apparel company to order appropriate gear/uniforms as necessary;

Performs administrative tasks such as scheduling, travel arrangements, budget preparation and monitoring, and maintaining statistics. Attends coaches’ preparatory meetings and implements strategies resulting from these meetings; and

Assist with game management including setup, game management and breakdown as needed.

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship.

Prior coaching experience at the college or club sports level or as a collegiate athlete.

First Aid, CPR, AED Required (or willingness to obtain).
