Assistant Women's Soccer Coach
Assists with scheduling, budgeting, recruiting, work-outs, travel arrangements, and game planning for the Tarleton women’s soccer program. Performs tasks related to game administration of sporting events hosted by Tarleton State University. Serves as a Campus Security Authority (CSA).; Work hours: Mon-Fri; 8 AM-5 PM or as work requirements indicate.
Responsibilities:
60% Coaches student-athletes individually and in groups, and demonstrates game techniques. Develops game strategy and position assignments. Plans coaching and practice sessions in accordance with NCAA and Conference regulations. Instructs student-athletes on physical health, team concepts and safety. Instructs student-athletes in the rules and fundamentals of their sport. Monitors and maintains the discipline and conduct of student-athletes to support the image and reputation of the athletics program. Ensures adherence to all NCAA, Conference, and University rules by student-athletes and supporting staff.
30% Manages recruiting efforts, travel arrangements, program budgeting, equipment management and game day preparations. Promotes the athletic program and specific sport through community events, public speaking, fundraising, and marketing.
5% This position may be required to perform tasks related to game administration of sporting events hosted by Tarleton State University.
5% Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology or related field; 1 year of coaching experience.
Preferred: Master’s degree

The target base annual salary is commensurate with experience and may be negotiable based on funding availability and candidate experience/skillset in relation to the minimum requirements of this position.
