No Duties and Responsibilities 1. Oversees and ensures all processes, procedures, and systems necessary to direct the Athletic Department in complying with NCAA, conference, and institutional rules and regulations for 15 varsity sport programs.2. Provides NCAA & conference rules education and interpretation programs for administrators, coaches, support staff, student-athletes, booster groups, campus partners/constituents that promotes culture of compliance and institutional control.3. Ensures compliance with institutional, NCAA, and conference regulations; monitor institutional and outside financial aid, benefits; recruiting, personnel, and playing/practice seasons; summer camps/clinics.4. Ensures that all student-athletes (including transfer students) are eligible to participate in intercollegiate athletics programs, including certifying the continuing eligibility of current student-athletes.5. Serves as primary contact with NCAA Eligibility Center, National Letter of Intent Office and NCAA Membership Services.6. Coordinates investigation of known and/or alleged rules violations, keeps the Director of Athletics informed of all alleged and known violations, and handles all correspondence with the NCAA and affiliated conferences regarding rules violations and follow up responses.7. Responsible for filing all required NCAA and conference forms, reports, waivers, and appeals for review and approval prior to submission to governing authority (e.g., NCAA Squad Lists; eligibility certifications; APR, etc.).8. Maintains NCAA records on Compliance Assistant Software, Academic Performance Program, Compliance Forms and NCAA Waivers.9. Serves as the liaison to financial aid office and other campus partners to work collaboratively, efficiently and effectively.10. Supervises full-time Assistant Director of Compliance11. Contributes to the development of a work environment based on trust, respect, and dignity.12. Performs other duties as required. Minimum Education and/or Work Experience Master’s degree in a related field and a minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in compliance-related positions at an NCAA Division I institution. Qualifications Comprehensive knowledge of NCAA rules, regulations, processes, interpretations, appeals and governance structure required. Knowledge of NCAA technological processes such as CAi and LSDBi required. Proven ability to relate well to coaches, student-athletes and other compliance constituency groups required. Strong organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are required. Ability to compile data and prepare, write, and review reports. Certificates/Credentials/Licenses NA Computer Skills Proficiency with MS Office Suite, Internet and email applications.
