**A day in the Life:**
+ Coordinates all aspects of clinical protocol development, review and implementation. Monitors ongoing clinical studies and clinical trials.
+ Evaluates existing protocols and provides suggestions for design, execution and improvement.
+ Assists in developing protocols for future clinical projects.
+ Produces various detailed reports for use by upper[1]management.
+ Participates in site visits as needed
**Education:**
Medical degree from an accredited university.
**Experience:**
+ One to two years of experience in medicine or related field. Experience in the development of clinical trial protocols. Demonstrates experience in performing medical research. Experience in evaluating adverse events. Preferred experience in Government clinical programs, clinical trials within large institutions, e.g. hospitals and academic medical centers, and infectious disease experience.
_In some cases an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role_
**_Physical Requirements / Work Environment_**
+ _Work is performed in an office environment with exposure to electrical office equipment_
+ _Occasional drives to site locations with occasional travel both domestic and international_
+ _Frequently stationary for 6-8 hours per day_
+ _Repetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists. Frequent mobility required_
+ _Occasional crouching, stooping, bending and twisting of upper body and neck_
+ _Light to moderate lifting and carrying (or otherwise moves) objects including luggage and laptop computer with a maximum lift of 15-20 lbs._
+ _Ability to access and use a variety of computer software developed both in-house and off-the-shelf_
+ _Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand; with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences_
+ _Frequently interacts with others to obtain or relate information to diverse groups_
+ _Works independently with little guidance or reliance on oral or written instructions and plans work schedules to meet goals. Requires multiple periods of intense concentration_
+ _Performs a wide range of variable tasks as dictated by variable demands and changing conditions with little predictability as to the occurrence. Ability to perform under stress. Ability to multi-task_
+ _Regular and consistent attendance_

**Compensation and Benefits**
The salary pay range estimated for this position Medical Consultants Medical Director based inMaryland is $220,000.00–$250,000.00.
