Job Description

Reporting to the European In-Market Distribution & Logistics Lead, the incumbent is accountable for Distribution & Logistics processes and activities within the Spanish and Portuguese territories for GHH business.

This position is critical to envisioning, creating and sustaining business performance excellence in Distribution & Logistics and overall Supply Chain Management directly supporting Portugal & Spain market Commercial Operations.

The incumbent is accountable for the cross-coordination and collaboration with senior management at both the Spanish and Portuguese GHH and regional Supply Chain Management level. Provides Supply Chain management expert advice and counsel to all levels within the Spanish and Portuguese Commercial Operations in order to assure the best product supply and customer satisfaction while assuring the most effective use of the Company resources and in compliance with all applicable regulations.

The incumbent provides functional leadership and direction to personnel and is responsible for approximately $6 million in logistics services spend and manages 2 direct reports. The role supports more than $1.000 million in sales.

As part of the sub-regional leadership team, the incumbent will support the development of, and implement initiatives which ensure alignment with overall our company's strategy.

The incumbent is in charge to manage the Third-Party Logistics Operators servicing Spain and Portugal (Finished products and Promotional materials).

The incumbent will have to sustain and continuously improve business performance (service/revenue, cost, quality, working capital) in a complex environment linked to numerous local and regional stakeholders and coping with variability due to unplanned product supply events and/or external customers demand events.

Responsibilities

Lead / Contribute to Overall Company Business Objectives

o Assure that all compliance principles and guidelines of our company are met in the day-to-day activities

o Leading and supervising assigned staff, including recruitment and selection, training, performance planning and evaluating

o Support our company's strategic goals by actively pursuing cost-efficient processes

o Operational and spend analysis, supplier performance management & operational support

o Develop a strong working relationship with the internal and external stakeholders and take the lead in driving the projects towards the agreed goals, organizing processes, implementing direct effective actions, monitoring and presenting results and achievements

o Perform the role of serve as a link between internal and external stakeholders in order to assure full alignment with our company's strategy

o Assure management of relationship between Logistics Operator and our company's

o Represents Distribution and Logistics department in the Quality Council

o Lead employees to meet the organization's expectations for productivity, quality, and goal accomplishment.

o Plan and allocate resources to effectively staff and accomplish the operational goals

o Connect with employees to enhance employee engagement, career development and retention

o Provide guidance to employees on departmental activities and provide proper training

o Provide regular coaching and training to employees

o Provide employees effective and regular performance feedback

• Financial

o Elaborate Profit Plan and assure timely revisions

o Identify strategies for operational savings and value capture opportunities

o Review in a timely manner invoices issued by the logistics operator, both FiGo and Promotional, and approve the corresponding purchase orders

• Operations

o Support the definition and the implementation of strategic initiatives and strategies that support short and long term operational and financial objectives, ensuring alignment with overall Company strategies

o Ensure the correct operation of the business related to the distribution

o Participate in the investigations of incidents related to transport and / or storage of products

o Review metrics provided by the logistics operator

• Internal Controls

o Assure timely execution of SOX Controls and proper distribution

o Revise and approve inventory reconciliation

• Others

o Organize product destructions complying with our company's policies and Spanish / Portuguese Legislation

o Provide support and, if needed, perform as functional backup on day-to-day activities within Distribution and Logistics department;

• Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned or requested by our company

Professional Education and Skills

BA/BS or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Science, Finance and/or at least 7 years of relevant work

experience with a demonstrated record.

• Knowledge of Good Distribution Practices

• Knowledge of the operation of the Supply Chain

• Knowledge of the distribution business of pharmaceutical products in the National Market

• Strong financial acumen

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to generate reports

• Knowledge of SAP SD/MM modules

• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing

• Pharma experience in Distribution and Logistics

• Native or fluent Spanish and/or Portuguese speaking.

• Fluent in written and verbal English communication skills

• Ability to work and collaborate in a cross-functional environment

• Ability to multi-task and perform well under pressure
