Come join a high-performance team dedicated to Unlocking Yum’s Growth via M&A! The Associate Manager, M&A will report to the Sr. Manager, M&A, and will help drive Yum’s Global M&A strategy. The M&A team is a partner to KFC, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell and Habit Burger & Grill, allowing Yum and its brands to evaluate new restaurant or technology M&A opportunities, invest in buying stores from franchisees, divest company-owned stores via our refranchising program, and assist with other such transactions that enhance Yum’s shareholder value. The M&A team partners with talented teams from Legal, Finance, Tax, IT, HR, and Operations, as well as Franchisees and Lenders, providing significant experience in a broad set of functional skills. This position includes exposure to leaders throughout the Yum organization.
Salary Range: $97,000 to $115,000 annually + bonus eligibility . This is the expected salary range for this position. Ultimately, in determining pay, we'll consider the successful candidate’s location, experience, and other job-related factors.
This role is based in Plano, Texas working within a hybrid work environment coming onsite 2-3 days/week
Responsibilities
Evaluation, analysis and execution of investment opportunities for Yum! and its brands Project management and support of the deal committee & capital committee process: Execute US refranchising program on an ongoing basis Maintain & improve M&A knowledge base of Yum! Brands Prepares materials for presentation to senior leadership and/or Yum Board of Directors Modeling, valuation and due diligence for M&A transactions Evaluation of deal materials shared with Yum Preparation of deal committee memos Review of documents and legal agreements alongside the legal teams Communication with internal and external stakeholders Partner with the brands and other divisions to help them prepare for committee Help coordinate and manage the deal committee process for Yum! leadership Project manage and ensure follow-ups are executed Preparation of Offering Materials Negotiating and partnering with franchisees and brands Assist with reviewing legal documentation including LOIs and APAs. Develop financial models that help drive M&A/investing decisions Maintain pipeline of future M&A opportunities Track industry M&A developments and provide updates to Yum! leadershipRequirements:
Bachelor’s degree required in Business, Finance, or Accounting; MBA, CFA, or CPA designation preferred Minimum 2 years professional experience in corporate M&A, business development, investment banking, finance, planning, management consulting, or strategy; 4+ years’ experience preferred Financial analysis capabilities, including clear and thorough understanding of financial modeling, valuation techniques, and financial statement analysis Expert skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Proven analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to understand legal documents.
