Corporate Affairs Department

The Corporate Affairs department at Blackstone plays a critical role in shaping and guiding the firm's communication strategies, both within the organization and externally. Key areas that comprise the department: Public Affairs, Marketing, and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives.

Job Description:

Blackstone seeks an accomplished and dynamic professional to join as Associate, Global Advertising to help develop and executed advertising campaigns across Blackstone’s key audiences and regions in close partnership with media agencies. Reporting to the VP of Advertising, this Associate will act as a conduit between the agency, external vendors and internal stakeholders to support the flawless execution of advertising campaigns across regions and audiences.

As a member of the broader global marketing team, you’re an experienced marketer with a strong track record of developing and executing omni-channel advertising campaigns (digital, social, TV, print, etc.) to generate Awareness, Engagement and Conversion. You’ll partner across the broader organization including, but not limited to: Public Affairs, Digital, Content, Technology and Compliance to drive the successful development and execution of campaigns.  The ideal candidate has strong media skills, a knowledge of the evolving media landscape, is entrepreneurial in spirit and passionate about building, developing, and optimizing campaigns at scale. 

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Partner with marketing colleagues to develop and coordinate paid media briefs that incorporate internal stakeholder inputs and strategic direction around key themes, priorities, and campaigns

Partner with media agencies to ensure flawless execution of media strategies, providing assistance with multiple projects and quick decision making on plans, when in market

Coordinate with internal and external creative and content teams, as needed, to ensure the timely delivery of media assets for campaign trafficking

Assist in audience planning across campaigns, helping define and size target audiences, key barriers and other demographic attributes

Support budget management for all media plans (including tracking of media authorizations, invoicing and reconciliation)

Support agency and internal stakeholders to track campaign measurement and determine optimizations for live plans

Shepherd media plans or tactics through internal stakeholder reviews, including but not limited to legal and compliance

Act as a media expert by keeping abreast of the latest trends and industry best practices regarding the most effective ways of reaching our target audiences and delivering our message

Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in paid media strategy and execution roles at an agency or in-house paid media role for B2B, B2C, or complex markets/audiences.

Deep understanding of media planning, ability to research/prioritize audiences, and a tactical understanding of key channels to translate budgets and goals into successful media plans

Campaign experience with media plans that span multiple channels, including social media, brand partnerships, digital (display, SEM, programmatic), OTT / video, etc

Knowledge and understanding of media planning principles, including target audience creation, channel planning strategy, media analysis and budget management

Detail-oriented problem-solver who is able to employ sound judgement, critical thinking and swift decision making with minimal supervision

Team-oriented, with confidence in interaction with multiple stakeholders and external partners

Demonstrated ability to work well against competing demands; able to manage and execute effectively on multiple, time-sensitive projects, with keen sense of urgency

Knowledge and understanding of media tools and resources, including UTM tags and pixels

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and oral

Financial services and or asset management experience a plus

Expected annual base salary range:

$92,000 - $130,000

Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.

Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.
