This position is based in Northbrook, Illinois. Hybrid work from certain states may be permitted in accordance with Astellas’ Responsible Flexibility Guidelines. Candidates interested in hybrid work are encouraged to apply.
**Purpose:**
The Associate, Government Pricing and Compliance is responsible for calculating, analyzing, documenting, and submitting pricing data under federal and state government programs. These submissions are both monthly and quarterly with strict guidelines, requirements, and deadlines. The role is required to proactively maintain cross-functional relationships with Contracts and Pricing, Commercial, Trade, IT, Legal, and Finance to ensure all data or reporting issues are identified for quick resolution and within program specific compliance. In this role, the Associate is considered a SME for all areas regarding the calculations such as analysis of data, legal methodologies, communications, and training of new team members as needed. The role will also lead the yearly audits which entails providing data, coordinating meetings, and answering questions as needed.
**Essential Job Responsibilities:**
+ Collaborates with the Partner, Government Pricing and Compliance, Lead, Government Pricing and Compliance and IT personnel as needed to resolve all issues identified during the calculation process: data, system, contract, etc.
+ Assists the Partner, Government Pricing and Compliance with all methodology changes required due to new regulations or business practices and obtains necessary approvals.
+ Possesses excellent working knowledge of Model N Government Pricing System and coordinates applicable system enhancements or changes.
+ Responsible for or assist with accurate and timely submissions of various mandated pricing calculations: AMP, ASP, Best Price, PHS, and NFAMP.
+ Maintains policies and procedures ensuring compliance with all programs.
+ Assists with applicable audits.
+ Perform in-depth analysis of pricing components and formulating impact analysis.
+ Validates monthly transactions (direct, indirect sales, rebates) against the General Ledger.
+ Utilizes KERnel to ensure government calculations are accurate.
+ SME all on aspects of calculations with ability to lead discussions in all things GP.
+ Perform monthly PHS Align for GP purposes
+ Process Coverage Gap Rebates on Quarterly basis
+ Monitor FSS Compliance
+ Perform 340B refund calculations.
+ Process Quarterly IFF Rebate.
+ Additional duties as needed.
**Qualifications**
**Required:**
+ Bachelor’s Degree
+ Two (2) years of government pricing experience
+ Working knowledge of Model N or comparable software utilized for GP and Rebates
+ High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and organization skills
+ Ability to work effectively with cross functional teams
+ Excellent communication skills
+ Ability to multi-task in deadline focused environment
+ Strong analytical skills
**Preferred:**
+ Knowledge of pharmaceutical industry business practices.
