Associate, Leveraged Loan Trading
**About this role** BlackRock’s Fixed Income team manages more than $1 trillion in global fixed income assets across index, active long-only, alternative, and liability driven strategies. The platform offers fixed income investors one of the industry's broadest arrays of investment choices across model-based and fundamental investment styles. The Leveraged Finance trading team is seeking a trader that will support the Leveraged Loan team in its investment activities in New York City. You will work with the trading technology group to achieve a BlackRock goal of scaling and automating the trading process. In working with senior investors across the entire investment process, you will have the opportunity to achieve a long-term career goal of learning how to invest and trade in the Leverage Finance markets. **Responsibilities:** + Provide ‘best execution’ for loans across a range of investment strategies (CLOs, Retail, SMAs) + Manage orders and trade flow in a logical risk-controlled manner with a high sensitivity to fiduciary responsibilities + Review market activity in areas of specialization and provide feedback to portfolio managers + Supporting portfolio managers in terms of information flow, trade ideas, and data requests + Dealing with day-to-day administrative issues in support of trading activities and liaison with trading operations + Pro-actively contribute into the investment process to both reduce transaction costs and identify alpha opportunities **Key attributes:** + 3-5 years of work experience and a deep interest in financial markets + Strong understanding of bond mathematics, credit risk factors and implications for risk management + Demonstrated interest in global capital markets, specifically with reference to Leveraged Finance products + Effective communication skills and demonstrated ability to work with multiple stakeholders + Strong intellectual capacity and analytical attitude + Well organized, disciplined approach to work with a high level of attention to detail + Highly computer literate, with advanced spreadsheet-based skills + Strong work ethic with high level of self-motivation For New York, NY Only the salary range for this position is USD$116,000.00 - USD$155,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits.
