The ACLU seeks a full-time position of Associate, Marketing & Production in the Development Department of the ACLU’s National office in New York, NY. This is a hybrid role that has in-office requirements of two (2) days per week or eight (8) days per month.

WHAT YOU'LL DOReporting directly to the Senior Manager of Marketing & Production, the Associate of Marketing & Production, this role will serve as production support for the Supporter Marketing unit, with a primary focus on liaising with outside vendors and consultants, and internal stakeholders across the ACLU; managing schedules, reviewing mail plans and data in/out puts, supporting the donor acknowledgment process, reviewing & approving bluelines, and production setups, proofreading, and coordinating with the other direct mail and stewardship units across Development. This role is key to coordinate, along with internal & external partners, the production of ACLU’s fundraising marketing, and stewardship campaigns.
YOUR DAY TO DAY Manage all production related to multi-channel marketing, enforcing schedules, trafficking copy and art, reviewing bluelines & production setups ensuring the quality and accuracy of data, interacting with external vendors, and coordinating across development units Ensure deadlines, approvals, and delivery of materials are on schedule; proofreading, data coordination, oversee fulfillment partners activities; vendor reconciliation and approvals Serve as back up for Senior Manager on all production & data needs related to fundraising & the donor acknowledgment process Oversee inventory & supplies along with external partners Collaborate across development units & external partners to coordinate complex production schedules Proofreading, and ensuring the accuracy of setups for direct mail production proofs, and insertion order as needed Review donor surveys & prep for data entry Other duties as assigned FUTURE ACLU'ERS WILL Be committed to advancing the mission of the ACLU Center and embed the principles of equity, inclusion and belonging in their work by demonstrating commitment to diversity with an approach that respects and values multiple perspectives Be committed to work collaboratively and respectfully toward resolving obstacles and conflicts WHAT YOU'LL BRING Excellent production management skills, including managing complex schedules, project specifications, and resources Experience with project management systems like Asana or basecamp Proficient in Salesforce or other CRM, Microsoft Office, i.e. Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and Internet usage PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience in Direct Marketing Preferred experience with marketing programs with similar complexity and scale to the ACLU Experience with fundraising or constituent management databases Experience working at complex national or international nonprofits Experience with fundraising COMPENSATION The ACLU values equity, transparency, and clarity in pay. Consistent with the ACLU's compensation philosophy there is a set salary for this role. The ACLU also has a locality adjustment policy that applies to salaries. The annual salary for this position is $80,338 (Level J), reflecting the salary of a position based in New York, NY. This position is subject to a hybrid schedule of 2 days/week or 8 days/month in-office.
