Team Overview

 BlackRock’s Analytics Insights and Research (AIR) team develops in-depth and impactful analyses, insights, and recommendations that help drive the firm's talent, diversity, employee engagement, and hiring agendas. We are proud to partner with business leaders in pursuit of better people decisions, by applying the same type of sophisticated analysis we do for investment decisions. 

People Analytics Insights Partners work closely with BlackRock leaders to analyze and interpret human capital data in support of BlackRock’s strategic talent initiatives.  We are looking to add a talented individual to the team who will partner with the Global People Analytics team in consulting, coaching, and supporting various teams on data and analytics needs helping to measure various talent and HR processes and initiatives including: 

Working with key collaborators (i.e., HR stakeholders, business leaders) to analyze business needs, forming hypotheses and synthesizing conclusions into recommendations, and turning data analysis into insights-driven initiatives

Developing processes and crafting projection models that will measure effectiveness and directly impact employee experiences like our promotion and retention strategies

Linking and analyzing large datasets to find patterns and insights across multiple datasets as it relates to Talent Management, Recruiting, Compensation, etc.

Designing and developing dashboards, reports, presentations, and visual aids to educate, inform and influence decisions made by HR clients and business leaders

Providing clients with in-depth reports with cutting edge visualizations and clear and practical findings

Developing and writing queries to analyze data, perform trend analysis and identify data discrepancies

Communicating findings to senior leaders throughout the firm

In this role, you will:

Be accountable for a variety of professional level tasks/responsibilities using advanced knowledge of analytics, talent processes and tools

Produce, perform and present wide-ranging analyses requiring use of advanced methods and tools

Complete multiple projects/assignments following established procedures and standard methodologies under minimal supervision

Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders, building a broad network across the firm and actively seeking out feedback to understand and anticipate their needs as well as take initiative to resolve issues promptly

Actively provide feedback, advice, innovations, and best practices that improve the performance of the team, including sharing timeline information

Demonstrate passion, dedication, energy, flexibility and resourcefulness, especially when faced with business challenges or obstacles

Continuously learn from successes and failures to generate new innovative solutions

Demonstrate awareness of risk and consistently act in accordance with established policies and procedures

Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred)

3-5 years of experience in People Analytics, Consulting or employee related research

Excellent analytical skills - ability to analyze large datasets, detect and correct errors, apply multivariate statistical methods, interpret, and develop recommendations

Proficient in the use of Excel, R / Python, SPSS or other scripting languages to provide insights on people research problems in organizations

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Experience presenting in front of senior leaders (ability to transform complex analyses into a simple story)

Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to proactively anticipate problems and opportunities

Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment with teammates in different locations

Strong client focus, high degree of confidentiality and adherence to regulatory standards such as Data Privacy, GDPR, etc.

Our hybrid work model
