About the Role

This is a general posting for multiple Product Analytics roles open across our 4-sided marketplace. You’ll get the chance to learn about the different problems the Product Analytics team solves as you go through the process. You can find a blurb on each team at the bottom of this page.

 

About the Team

The Product Analytics team helps the business set direction, surface opportunities for growth & efficiency, and solve the company’s toughest cross-functional problems. This is a rare opportunity to impact a high-growth company that’s already changing the way people feed their households. As a member of the Product Analytics team, you will provide essential support for strategic and product decision-making. Our team excels in using data-driven insights and developing frameworks to address complex challenges within the marketplace. We serve as a point of connection between teams, facilitating collaboration, idea sharing, and alignment, helping Instacart develop more holistic solutions.You will gain high visibility into Instacart’s Product, Operations, Finance, Advertising, Engineering, Business Development and Data Science teams. We’re looking for a self-driven, strategic thinker who can hit the ground running to ultimately influence decision-making across the entire organization.

 

About the Job 

In this dynamic role, your responsibilities will include:

Helping to prioritize and define the roadmap for the team's direction Creating robust analytical frameworks to refine decision-making across various initiatives. Assisting in the sizing and scoping of potential problems and opportunities within our systems. Translating complex datasets into understandable narratives and actionable recommendations. Proactively identifying areas for significant impact, growth, and investment.

 

About You

Minimum Qualifications

4+ years of experience utilizing data to inform strategic decisions. Comfort working in dynamic and sometimes ambiguous environments. Strong proficiency in SQL. Proven ability to synthesize data into compelling narratives. Experience managing and prioritizing work across multiple teams

 

Preferred Qualifications

A basic understanding of statistics and experimentation methodologies. Experience with ‘gig economy’ marketplaces

 

OPEN ROLES

Ads & Ecosystems:

We provide data-driven insights and strategic recommendations around Instacart’s Carrot Ads business, including both ads on retailer O&O eCommerce and Caper carts. The role will entail working with data to build product understanding, discover new opportunities, and measure success. This is a newer area of focus for the ads team, so there is a lot of opportunity to drive impact as the business rapidly scales.

 

Instacart provides highly market-competitive compensation and benefits in each location where our employees work. This role is remote and the base pay range for a successful candidate is dependent on their permanent work location. Please review our Flex First remote work policy here. Currently, we are only hiring in the following provinces: Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia, and Nova Scotia.

Offers may vary based on many factors, such as candidate experience and skills required for the role. Additionally, this role is eligible for a new hire equity grant as well as annual refresh grants. Please read more about our benefits offerings here.

For Canadian based candidates, the base pay ranges for a successful candidate are listed below.
