CIBC World Markets Corp. seeks an Associate, Project Finance and Infrastructure to develop and analyze financial models to support project finance  transactions in the energy and infrastructure space. Analyze credit agreements and draft term sheets for a variety of CIBC’s bank products, including loans, interest rate swaps, foreign exchange, and bonds. Conduct commercial, legal, and financial due diligence checks to inform decisions on new transactions.  Develop and outline project finance business proposals in collaboration with external consultants, advisors, and legal counsel, and contribute to transaction closings. #LI-DNI

Position requires a Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Management, Economic Development, Business Administration or related field, and 2 years of experience developing financial models to assess cash flow, credit agreements, and economic conditions within the renewable power or infrastructure financing sectors.  Experience must include a minimum of: 2 years of experience leveraging quantitative principles for financial assessments, including building financial models for project finance transactions and risk assessment of project counterparties; 2 years of experience analyzing third-party consultant reports, including independent engineering reports, insurance reports, transmission reports, and market reports and using that analysis to inform business decisions; 2 years of experience creating marketing materials for energy or infrastructure project finance loan transactions; 1 year of experience reviewing term sheets and reviewing legal transaction documents, including financing agreements, security documents, depositary agreements, tax equity documents, and intercreditor agreements; and 1 year of experience concurrently managing multiple financing deals and with interdepartmental collaboration.
