Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Associate, Pyxis Inventory – Supply Chain Management – Hempstead.
In this role, the successful candidate is responsible for managing the deployed inventory in clinical locations using the Pyxis Inventory Management System. Onsite responsibilities include replenishment par level management, cycle counts, verification of expiration and working daily with unit management to load and unload new/old supplies, Offsite responsibilities include inventory management for the Clean Room, including replenishment from the bulk warehouse and non stock orders. Fulfilling Pyxis orders and preparing them for delivery daily to all Pyxis units 7 days a week including weekend and holidays to support the clinical function of the hospital. Ensures all Pyxis are processed in a timely manner and with the constant awareness that the quality of the department’s services have a direct impact on the institution’s ability to provide excellent patient care.
Job Responsibilities:
Performs other duties as assigned Picks all Pyxis orders from Clean Room according to Materials Stock Request MSR being mindful of bin location Unit of Measure UOM and quantity and expiration date Prepares inventory and non stock orders for delivery sorting removing corrugated cardboard as necessary packaging and labeling with destination Stages orders for delivery to hospital loading dock Delivers supplies daily to assigned clinical unit Loads Pyxis Supply Stations verifies counts rotates stock and checks expiration dates for all refilled items Completes manual inventory of Pyxis remote stock Processes returns from all Pyxis locations Verifies the Pyxis supply Stations are in working order daily Notifies manager if repair is necessary Performs monthly expiration checks on all items in Pyxis Stations Replaces labels and bins in Pyxis units as necessary or when items are added or removed Collects any reusable delivery totes or carts from clinical area hospital loading dock and offsite locations Maintains Clean Room Inventory Responsibility for replenishment from Bulk Inventory and non stock orders Verifies put away plan is correct and moves inventory into appropriate Clean Room bin location using First In First Out FIFO method to ensure inventory is rotated appropriately Operates warehouse equipment in a safe manner i e power pallet jacks manual pump jack delivery vehicles lift plates etc Maintains the Clean Room in a neat and orderly manner Sweeps empties garbage disposes of all empty cardboard boxes and places in the appropriate receptacle for pick up at the end of shift Responsible for the unloading and loading of all incoming and outgoing Pyxis delivery trucks at the warehouse and hospital loading dock Performs cycle counts as directed to ensure proper on hand inventory Participates in annual physical inventory Responsible for driving hospital van and box truck to and from the warehouse and hospital loading dockMinimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a High School Diploma or equivalent. Current and valid NYS Drivers License. Communication skills both oral and written and customer service. Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office applications especially Word and Excel. Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time; ability to bend and to lift heavy materials and or move up to 100 pounds regularly.
Preferred Qualifications:
1-2 years previous warehouse materials or inventory experience. 1-2 years Healthcare Supply Chain experience. Knowledge of PeopleSoft Inventory Management System and Pyxis Inventory Management System.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $51,046.77 – $54,364.81 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
