Position Overview
SBG is a specialized unit that leads DAI’s engagements with clients in the private sector. Our team develops unique products and services to help clients operate more sustainably and responsibly and advises companies on how to optimize their local supply base and labor force, demonstrate their long-term commitment to the country’s development, and become a trusted partner for government through initiatives in local content and corporate social investment. Technical focus areas include economic and policy analysis, supplier and SME development, entrepreneurship, innovation, youth empowerment, education, and environmental sustainability.
This is a full-time, professional position that will contribute to the DAI Sustainable Business Group (DAI/SBG). This position will be based in Bethesda, USA, or London, UK, with an opportunity for overseas travel. The Associate, SBG is primarily tasked with entry-level project and business development work and initiatives, such as background research and analysis, inputs for client presentations, project management, market intelligence research, support to specific proposals, as well as providing support to logistical and administrative support across a portfolio of projects and ongoing business development-focused knowledge management initiatives.
This position will close on January 17th. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
Responsibilities
Technical Delivery
Conduct background research and provide written inputs to technical deliverables Conduct data analytics and generate statistical and/or graphic outputs Prepare, edit, and format PowerPoint decks, reports, briefs, and economic models Communicate and respond to client inquiries under the direction of the Project Team Lead Support Team Lead in developing, disseminating and communicating scopes of work for team members, including consultants/subcontractors Develop subject matter expertise by graduating towards increased levels of project technical/operational complexity In close coordination with the Project Lead and Delivery, Finance & Operations team, contribute to development and monitoring of project workplans and budgets, including technical deliverables; financial and project performance reviews; and client and corporate reporting requirements In collaboration with project and DFO teams, ensure understanding of and compliance with all contractual and reporting requirements Identify opportunities for innovation, update methodologies and improve service offeringsNew Business
Conduct desktop research and provide written and data analytical inputs for proposals. Draft proposal sections under the guidance of the Manager. Review, edit and format proposal text. Create tables, charts and graphics for Word or Powerpoint proposals and concept notes. Support client managers/directors with external communication and content sharing as needed. Support or develop proposal budgets under guidance from finance, operations or technical teams.Knowledge Management

Language fluency/business proficient communication in a second language (such as Arabic, Spanish, French or Portuguese). Experience with business development and/or proposal coordination. Proficient in qualitative and quantitative research skills. Advanced working knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. Experience in developing budgets.Compensation & Benefits:
For employees working the United States, the full-time equivalent annual base salary for this position is expected to be between $56,626 to $61,622. Salary for part-time employees will be prorated based on actual hours worked. Actual offers will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, qualifications, relevant education, experience, skills, seniority, performance, and business or organizational needs.
Eligible U.S. based employees will be able to enroll in medical, dental and vision insurance, plus a 401(k)-retirement plan with a company match. Additionally, employees will be eligible for company-paid annual leave (vacation & holidays), sick leave, and parental leave, as well as short- and long-term disability coverage. Detailed information will be provided at the time a formal offer is extended.
