Key Job Functions/Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts using Java, Selenium WebDriver, and TestNG.
Create, implement, and execute automated test cases for functional, regression, and integration testing.
Identify, document, and track defects.
Perform continuous improvement of the test automation framework to ensure high reusability, scalability, and efficiency.
Collaborate with developers, manual testers, and Business analysts to understand requirements, provide feedback on test scenarios, and ensure alignment with project goals.
Conduct thorough analysis of software products to ensure they meet functional, performance, and security requirements.
Participate in code reviews, test strategy discussions, and drive best practices in test automation.
Generate and maintain reports for test results, analyze test failures, and suggest corrective actions.
Stay updated with the latest testing tools, frameworks, and industry best practices.
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipeline integrations using Jenkins to automate test execution.
Adhere to DevOps practices, ensuring the integration of test automation into the development lifecycle.
Work in collaboration with development teams to ensure smooth continuous integration and delivery of software releases.
Basic Skill Level Requirements
Education:
Bachelors Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline
Experience:
3+ years of experience in software engineering
Skills:
Strong experience in automation testing with Java, Selenium WebDriver, and TestNG.
Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and design patterns.
Experience with version control systems like Git, and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for automating test execution and deployments.
Knowledge of web technologies including XML, JSON, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and browser developer tools.
Hands-on experience with Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) such as Eclipse, IntelliJ IDEA, or Visual Studio Code for writing and debugging test scripts.
Familiarity with DevOps practices, including collaboration between development and operations teams to ensure efficient software delivery.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Ability to assist manual testers in executing tests and provide technical support for tool installations.
Good working experience with XPath
Good working experience with regular expression
Knowledge of financial investment industry
Have exposure to writing automated build and deployment pipelines using a scripting language such as Groovy.
Nice to have: Jenkins, Linux, Git admin
