About the Role

The Specialist, Supply Chain General (Logistics Specialist, Inbound and Inventory) is responsible for executing logistics data management and operations coordination tasks in support of Professional Solutions global Logistics and Distribution. The role primarily supports the distribution operations in North America, but in certain tasks the role would support other Harman Professional locations in Mexico, the USA, or other regions. The role involves active internal collaboration, and transaction processing in SAP as well as external systems. Key internal partners will be inbound and outbound Logistics, Inventory Controls, Returns; external partners will include 4PL transportation management service provider, freight forwarders, warehouse providers.

What You Will Do Distribution inbound flow coordination HARMAN’s regional distribution center is operated by a third-party logistics service provider. Providing remote support to Harman and 3PL teams in Operations, you will be responsible for enabling problem-free goods receiving by managing supporting information and systems data. Your activities will include:Inbound Delivery Notification (IBDN) managemen.Ensure SAP and 4PL Transportation management system are in syncCreate pending / missing IBDNsAdjust incorrect (date, quantity) IBDNsReplan past due IBDNsSupported Plants: 7309 Fontana, 7301 Horsens, 7102 TijuanaSupporting from the Harman side the delivery appointment scheduling flow; managing exceptions, cancellations; facilitate problem resolution; supervise documentation and clearance issuesProviding visibility and forecast of the inbound volumes to the distribution centerReverse LogisticsProvide Return Delivery Note to Distribution CenterDistribution Inventory management HARMAN’s regional distribution center houses high value inventory, spread over 3,000 different SKUs. In this role, you will perform manual inventory adjustments, virtual stock movements, process scrap transactions and ensure that the warehouse management system of the service provider and Harman SAP are in sync of inventory data. Your activities will include:Performing comparative analysis of inventory information between different systems, identify, analyze, and reconcile differences.Performing exception manual inventory transactions in SAPVirtual stock movementsManual Goods Receipts, manually reverse inbound goods movementsMovements between Storage LocationsRestrict / unrestrict (block/unblock) inventory itemsProcess / perform preapproved inventory adjustmentsProcess non-inventory transactions / AR orders for software movementsMaterial Master Data maintenance, data accuracy validationWhat You Need

Bachelor degree Diploma and 3+ years of logistics/shipping experienceGood working knowledge of inventory control, warehousing, and material handling procedures and practicesGood understanding of international trade and logistics practices, compliance requirementsExperience with SAP ERP system, preferably with S4 HANAHigh level of accuracy in managing data and documentationEnglish – excellent verbal and written skills, including logistics professional termsGood communication skills, ability to work across organizational boundaries, external service providers and contacts in other countries and time zonesAbility to perform a variety of one-off and repeated tasks in a continuous operations environmentProcess mindset: ability to map, document, analyze and improve operational proceduresTechnology mindset: seeks and applies latest available tools in data management, visualization, online collaborationChange mindset: continuously seeks areas of improvement, takes ownership of process change initiativesTeam mindset: identifies allies across functions and forms ad-hoc squads to tackle business challenges
