Purpose:

 

The fundamental job responsibility is to lead the MAP process and manage the routing and review of all Promotional and Educational materials from Concept phase through Completion. The Sr. MAP Specialist is the focal point and key contact for all cross functional internal and external partners involved in the review and production of all printed and electronic/digital projects.  The Sr. MAP Specialist is the key driver to help ensure that materials are completed accurately, timely, and in compliance with all related requirements.

 

Essential Job Responsibilities:

 

Must think critically and analyze complex challenges and propose multiples solutions if needed to resolve the issue. Manage multiple external vendors, including agencies, print vendors, and materials vendors, in addition to the internal cross-functional partners such as marketing, print, and proof-reading. Has the ability to lead and drive even the most difficult and challenging teams and timelines and still meet project milestones. Quickly learn and adapt to managing new team members, personalities, and understanding the nuances of how to communicate effectively in highly collaborative and fast-moving environments for maximum effectiveness and responsiveness. Monitors Databases, reports, etc., and is able to communicate this information back to the broader team in an effort to drive efficiency and continual process improvements. Able to identify Best Practices and share these across the MAP team and across cross-functional areas. Proactively and consistently communicates updates to broader teams as to status of projects, upcoming events, key milestones and timelines. Take on and lead larger initiatives beyond the standard scope of Promotional Materials projects. Submit and track routine promotional and educational projects through approval process using electronic submission platform. Schedule and facilitate meetings / routing with reviewers. Coordinate multiple project components between all related functional areas. Act as neutral facilitator in project negotiations, summarize team agreements and facilitate progress of projects. Prioritize materials for MAP reviewers based on input from project owners. Communicate status of all projects to marketing via meeting agendas, meeting minute reporting and calendaring tools. Report the tracking of projects as well as inventory management of their respective products contained within Astellas promotional inventory. Act as liaison between all functional areas with a high sense of customer collaboration directed to all partners within those functional areas to ensure all projects are completed accurately, in a timely fashion, and in compliance with all related requirements. Provide training on the MAP process and routing system to cross-functional partners. These would include for example cross-departmental projects, as well as the creation, development, and integration of new applications.
