Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Associate, Warehouse Inventory - Supply Chain - Hempstead.
In this role, the successful candidate is responsible for receiving inspection put away and delivery duties for the warehouse clean room Low Unit of Measure LUM room inventory business units and non stock items for offsite locations. Responsible for inventory control completes Materials Stock Requests MSR and Credits as necessary. Fulfills orders from inventory picks packs and delivers inventory items to hospital loading dock and offsite locations. Packs and prepares items for return shipping direct to vendor. Ensures all orders are processed in a timely manner and with the constant awareness that the quality of the department's services have a direct impact on the institution's ability to provide excellent patient care.
Job Responsibilities:
Performs other duties as assignedResponsible for the unloading and loading of all incoming and outgoing delivery trucks at the warehouse locationEnsures all receiving is completed appropriately Matches packing slip to items received Enters receiver into the inventory management system and files all packing slips appropriately Verifies delivery document and put away plan is correct and marks items with bin location or delivery destinationMoves inventory into appropriate business units bin location following put away plan using First In First Out FIFO method to ensure inventory is rotated appropriatelyPicks all orders according to MSR being mindful of bin location Unit of Measure UOM and quantity and expiration datePrepares inventory and non stock orders for delivery sorting removing corrugated cardboard as necessary packaging and labeling with destinationStages orders for delivery to hospital or outside locationsOperates warehouse equipment in a safe manner i e power pallet jacks manual pump jack delivery vehicles lift plates etcCollects any reusable delivery totes or carts from hospital loading dock and offsite locationsMaintains the warehouse and receiving areas in a neat and orderly manner Sweeps empties garbage disposes of all empty cardboard boxes and places in the appropriate receptacle for pick up at the end of shiftFacilitates shipping of supplies and equipment designated for return direct to vendorPerforms cycle counts as directed to ensure proper on hand inventory Participates in annual physical inventoryResponsible for storage staging and delivery of capital equipment and capital project ordersResponsible for driving hospital van and box truck to and from the warehouse hospital and offsite locationsMinimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a High School Diploma or equivalent. Current and valid NYS Drivers License. Communication skills both oral and written and customer service. Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office applications especially Word and Excel. Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time; ability to bend and to lift heavy materials and or move up to 100 pounds regularly.
Preferred Qualifications:
1 2 years previous warehouse materials or inventory experience 1 2 years Healthcare Supply Chain experience Knowledge of PeopleSoft Inventory Management System

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $48,157.34 - $51,287.56 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
