Description National law firm is seeking an attorney to join their team. This role is centered around litigation law, particularly within the areas of toxic tort, complex product liability, general liability, and commercial litigation. You will be responsible for handling local and national accounts throughout the state of California, managing a litigation caseload, and preparing for and participating in trials. Responsibilities • Manage a litigation caseload, ensuring all aspects of each case are attended to in a timely and organized manner • Conduct depositions, preparing witnesses for deposition and trial • Review and analyze discovery requests, preparing and responding to discovery responses and pleadings • Prepare court filings and service to counsel, utilizing e-filing where applicable • Prepare for and provide support during trials • Maintain accurate time records, ensuring all work is accounted for • Utilize your skills in defending depositions, trial experience, and civil litigation to effectively carry out your duties • Analyze complex matters, drawing on your ability to work independently and multi-task • Exhibit superior research and writing skills, using these to benefit the team and our clients. Requirements • Candidate must have experience in the role of an Associate. • Demonstrated ability to defend depositions effectively. • Proven trial experience is essential. • Proficiency in motion practice is required. • Experience in civil litigation is mandatory. • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are required. • Ability to work well in a team and independently. • Must possess excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills. • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. • Proven record of integrity, ethical standards, and understanding of confidentiality. • Must have a proactive attitude towards learning and implementing new procedures and processes. • A law degree from an accredited institution is required.
