Job Description

Brookfield is a global asset manager focused on real estate, infrastructure, renewable energy & transition, private equity, credit and insurance solutions (the “Business Groups”) with over $1 trillion of assets under management. 

The Global Clients Group (“GCG”) provides solutions for investors across the Brookfield Asset Management organization. The GCG also manages institutional relationships and raises capital for Brookfield’s various private funds and client accounts. 

The Business Management Team is the team responsible for supporting the process, data, technology, finance, and operational needs of the Global Client Group.  The Business Management Team’s key focus areas include: (i) a dedicated technology and process project management center, (ii) a client operations team inclusive of data management, (iii) strategic initiatives team (iv) a finance and business planning team and (v) a global meeting coordinator team. The team will work with all of the functions across GCG as well as key stakeholders within technology and the Business Groups to deliver strategic and tactical solutions. 

The focus of this role is a key contributor on the GCG Finance team.  This team will coordinate the preparation and presentation of quarterly management materials, budgeting/forecasting of asset raising across GCG, the management of key expenses and vendors, modelling fee/revenue for current and future products, and ensuring transparency across key stakeholders across the Brookfield enterprise.  This role specifically contributes to both the support of day-to-day functions and longer-term initiatives.  The ideal candidate will possess strong finance expertise, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative approach to problem-solving and knowledge sharing. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

Financial and Management Reporting 

Assist in preparation of the quarterly financial and management reporting for the group inclusive of asset raising updates and expenses – e.g. operating and performance metrics 

Provide intra-quarter updates to senior management and the BAM IR and Finance teams 

Support the financial planning and analysis (FP&A) process, including forecasting, variance analysis, and scenario planning. 

Manage expenses with key third party vendors and contracts 

Collaborate with various teams across Brookfield to gather relevant financial data and ensure timely reporting 

Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets, ensuring accuracy and alignment with strategic goals 

Maintain and update financial models to support business planning and decision-making. 

Revenue and Fee Modeling for new products and customized client mandates 

Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and support as needed. 

Accounting Operations 

Team oversees the group’s financial accounts, cost controls, and cost allocation processes as well as accounts payable function, review process, reporting and controls 

Data management for third party surveys and publications 

Client commitment booking and reconciliation process within Salesforce and other relevant systems (Mercatus) 

Qualifications Required: 

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or another relevant discipline 

Professional certification in accounting (e.g., CPA, ACCA, or equivalent). 

 

Experience & Competencies Required: 

At least 5+ years of experience in Finance, FP&A, or Fund Accounting (accounting, reporting, forecasting, tax, treasury, corporate finance, capital markets,); 

Advanced Excel skills including fee modelling and scenario analysis 

Understanding of fund performance calculations 

Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis. 

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 

Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work. 

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. 

Investor Relations experience a plus; 

Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, global environment and to adapt quickly to changing priorities; 

Excellent organizational skills and capability to effectively manage priorities while meeting timelines; 

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a particular strength in dealing with a wide variety of individuals at various levels within and outside of the organization; 

Team-oriented; demonstrates a commitment to shared success above any personal accomplishment or recognition. 

Salary Range: $115k - $135K

Our compensation structure is comprised of a base salary and a short-term incentive program (cash bonus). Cash compensation tends to vary based on geography to account for local market conditions and is set to be market competitive. Compensation decisions are based on a number of factors including relative experience, overall years of experience, industry experience, education, and designation
