Job Purpose
To assist account handlers in processing daily account activity. To provide technical support in accordance with company operating procedures.
Functions & Responsibilities:
1. Maintaining account folders in accordance with internal Quality Control guidelines
2. Check policy coverages and endorsement on all new business and renewals for accuracy and relevance
3. Complete specs, prepare proposals, policy summaries and reviews
4. Process endorsements, placement requests and invoicing: Credit, Debit, Monthly reports
5. Review policies for accuracy and adequacy of coverage, including rating calculations
6. Liase with Accounting department on research and justification of premium charges as compared with endorsements and invoices
7. Handle or refer insured’s and underwriter’s questions
8. Perform other specific duties as directed by the Account Executive
9. Pursue a program of professional development
10. Begin studies for appropriate licenses
11. Order loss runs, execute loss summaries
12. Complete new business and renewal applications
13. Have discussion with Underwriters regarding pricing and coverage
14. Create proposals from Carrier quotes
Qualifications:
Detail oriented with good mathematical and communication skillsAbility to understand, analyze, and research different lines of insuranceGood typing skills and computer literacyAbility to work within designated time framesGood interpersonal skillsP&C license preferredRequired Skills:
Strong computer skills; Excel & Word a must
The expected pay range for this position is $37.36 an hour to $39.71 an hour and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience, and work location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope, and level.
