GENERAL FUNCTION

The Associate Account Manager, Apparel, Footwear & Accessories (AFA) is responsible for partnering with the Account Managers in implementing and executing sales strategies for specified Key Account AFA customers in their assigned region. The Associate Account Manager is responsible for Key Account customers with a central buying system and that also have doors operating across multiple regions. The Associate Account Manager assists the Key Account team in building strong business relationships with Key Account customers and growing top line sales by building brand awareness, equities, and supporting brand standards.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Support Account Managers in developing/evaluating account plans - marketing and sales tools, merchandising, product, shipping, training needs, assortment, display, events. Drive input on the development and refinement of the forecast based on the conceptual line plan. Provide systemic and operational support to AFA Key Account Managers at all points of the customer transaction. Determine AFA product opportunities within current accounts and develop sales plan and follow up from dynamic brand & competing AFA product presentations. Identify account needs - product, marketing, sales support, overall business relationship through constant interactive feedback with owned accounts and provide input to Product Line Managers Work with Account team to seek out AFA account opportunities – AFA accounts, improvement in current accounts (replenishment, assortment planning, training). Assist with sampling and merchandising needs for the channel (product samples, marketing materials, etc. Gather industry information and/or AFA technologies that can be used to strengthen our position in the marketplace. Evaluate competitive landscape. Attend account events. Deepen relationships with buyers and associates to capture all available opportunities. Ensure NA Sales Associates fulfill all account needs – order entry, A/R, A/P, backorder, late deliveries, etc.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Requires Bachelor’s Degree with at least 3 years’ experience in sales, account coordination, support and/or other roles that are customer facing. Successful track record in proactively leading and directing accounts with respect to assortment planning, GTM strategies, sell in & sell through metrics. Strong understanding of Best-in-Class field concepts, practices and procedures. Good knowledge of National account competitive landscape inclusive of product categories, industry, retail math and competition Good understanding & knowledge of quantitative analytics & presentation preparation and delivery (expert at Excel, PowerPoint) Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Strong experience in positions or assignments with a wide degree of creativity and latitude

​Pay Range: 66,560.00  - 98,878.92 

 

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements. In addition, you may also be offered a competitive bonus and/or commission plan, which complements a first-class total rewards package.
