Associate Area Director Collection Operations

I.  Job Summary

Under the guidance of the Area Director of Collection Operations, the Associate Area Director of Collection Operations carries out the strategic plans for managing regional or multiple Operating Units' financial performance and productivity. Ensures that Operating Units meet or exceed annual objectives and successfully implement organizational initiatives as set by the Area Director of Collection Operations and Area Leadership.

 

II.  Essential Duties and Responsibilities 
 

In partnership with the Area Director of Collection Operations, develops and implements a market area operating plan consistent with the accomplishment of long-range established objectives which will enhance effectiveness and delineate responsibilities and authority.  Reviews and evaluates market area performance on a continuing basis and establishes proper measures of performance. Counsels managers as to the execution of programs, and when necessary, provide direction for modification in work plans or implementation of contingency plans in accordance with prevailing business conditions.  Develops operating unit budget in a timely manner, forecasting financial and human resource needs for future time periods. • Assists managers in budget optimization; provides budget compliance support.  Oversees personnel needs of the department, including selecting, coaching, and training employees and evaluating employee performance. Provides input into termination, compensation, and promotion decisions.  Organizes and schedules all necessary resources required to accomplish activities.  Attends regularly scheduled Profit and Loss (P&L) reviews and executes prescribed programs on routing equipment utilization, equipment maintenance, and labor and material costs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities  Implements and maintains programs to improve the Market Area's safety, productivity, and profitability; Ensures compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT)/Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) and other Federal and State regulations.

III.  Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.

A.  Education and Experience

Bachelor's Degree (accredited) Required or High School Diploma (accredited) and four years of relevant work experience Required  Work Experience 7 years of prior work experience (in addition to education requirement) in Operations Management including at least three years managing a team of two of more individuals. Require

B.  Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements

Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record Must be able to maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record throughout the duration of employment in this position

C. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required

Experience in a position involving operations, customer service, community relations, health and safety, financial, and human resources function, experience as a supervisor or manager   Experience implementing safety (OSHA) programs and equipment specifications, experience preparing and managing budgets, and experience resolving labor relations issues required

Normal setting for this job is: office setting.

The expected base pay range for this position across the US is $163,625  -  $216,875. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific salary offered to a successful candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.
