Position Summary Reporting to the Athletics Director, the Associate Athletic Director for Internal Operations will be responsible for managing the daily administrative operations including, but not limited to, student-athlete financial aid, compliance, internal strategic planning, human resources-related actions, and the daily operations of the Department of Athletics. This position will also serve as Sport Administrator for sport programs as assigned by the Director of Athletics. Minimum Qualifications Bachelors Degree. Minimum of 5-8 years of progressive experience working as a senior leader in a NCAA Division I Athletics Department. Knowledge of intercollegiate business operations and finances. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. The ability to make independent informed decisions in a demanding environment. Excellent communications skills across multiple constituencies. Must have extensive experience in Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations. Preferred Qualifications Master’s Degree in Sports Administration or an MBA or related field. Work Days/Hours Total Compensation Range & Benefits Statement Salary is dependent on several factors, and new employees will typically start around the Q1 level to allow for later growth within the salary band. PSU has a structured process for determining starting compensation, taking into account years of related experience, applicable skills, knowledge and abilities, market parity, and internal equity. The starting annual salary for this position will be between $63,792 – $72,000 but may be negotiated above this rate dependent upon the factors above, the budget of the hiring department, and approval from HR.
